It is evidenced through the architectural works found in the form of idols, pectorals and jewelry in remains of the ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. The investment casting process initiates with the production of wax replicas or patterns of the required shape of castings. Each and every casting requires a pattern to be produced. Wax or polystyrene is made used as the injecting material. The assembly of large number of patterns are made and attached to a wax sprue centrally. Metallic dies are used to prepare the patterns. The pattern is immersed in refractory slurry which completely surrounds it and gets set at room temperature forming the mold.\u00a0\r\n\u00a0\r\nThe mold is further heated, so that the pattern melts and flows out, leaving the required cavity behind. After heating, the mold gets further hardened and molten metal is poured while it is still hot. After the casting gets solidified, the mold is broken and it is taken out.\r\n\u00a0\r\nStep Involved In \u00a0Investment Casting :\r\n\u00a0\r\nThe basic steps of the investment casting process are as shown in figure:\r\n1. Preparing the heat-disposable wax, plastic or polystyrene patterns in a die.\r\n2. Assembly of the prepared patterns onto a gating system\r\n3. \u201cInvesting,\u201d (covering) the pattern assembly with a refractory slurry which builds the shell.\r\n4. Melting the pattern assembly (burning out the wax) by firing, for removing the traces of the pattern material\r\n5. The metal in molten state is poured into the formed mold.\r\n6. Once the metal solidifies, the shell is removed (knocked out).\r\n7. Fettling (cutting off) of the pouring basin and gates followed by finishing operations to get the desired dimensional tolerances and finish.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nStep Of The Investment Casting Process\u00a0\r\n\r\n\r\nAdvantages of investment casting\r\n\r\n\r\n1. Many Intricate forms with undercuts can be cast.\r\n2. A very smooth surface is obtained with no parting line.\r\n3. Dimensional accuracy is good.\r\n4. Certain unmachinable parts can be cast to preplanned shape.\r\n5. It may be used to replace die casting where short runs are involved.\r\n6.\u00a0Excellent surface finish\r\n7.Almost any metal can be cast\r\n\r\nDisadvantages of investment casting\r\n\r\n\r\n1. This process is expensive, is usually limited to small casting, and presents some difficulties where cores are involved.\r\n2. Holes cannot be smaller than 1\/16 in. (1.6 mm) and should be no deeper than about 1.5 times the diameter.\r\n3. investment castings require very long production \u00adcycle times versus other casting processes.\r\n4. This process is practically infeasible for high \u00advolume manufacturing, due to its high cost and long cycle times.\r\n5. A number of generator configurations have been devised to accommodate the Hall Effect. In a Faraday generator, the electrode walls are segmented and insulated from each other to support the axial electric field and the electric power is taken out in a series of loads. In the alternate configuration known as a Hall generator, the Faraday field across each sector of the channel is short-circuited and the sectors are connected in series.\r\n\r\nHall Generator\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThis allows the connection of a single electric load between the ends of the channel. The magnetic excitation field is made by a pair of circular Helmholtz coils above and under the disk. The Faraday currents flow in a perfect dead short around the edge of the disk. The paper presents theoretical aspects regarding the kinematics and dynamics of the crop planting machine and features we have implemented all that is required for planting of crops, which includes tilling, planting, fertilizing and ditching of soil all process in a single operation. The outlook and prediction of high growth of crop of cultivators are very high because intensive soil cultivation requires consistency and reliability. In the meanwhile, cultivators are also expected to work smoothly and cultivate large areas. Our design competes with all these expectations to aid cultivators. They just need to load the crops to be planted in the rotating disc holes, due to the activation of planter pipe it gets planted automatically. Furthermore, our prototype model can be converted to full width cultivators with a few manual actions to planting. The future scope of this work; we have implemented all the process for single row. Whereas, our machine can only support for one single operation and this can be expanded by placing one or more planter pipe for cultivating the seeds at regular spacing.\r\n\r\nINTRODUCTION:\r\nAgriculture is the backbone of our country. There are various types of plants cultivated by our ancestors. Modern farmers follow the same types of cultivation method with improved techniques. Among these, banana tree cultivation plays the important role. Nearly forty percentages of farmers in southern India cultivates banana tree. Banana is a tropical herbaceous plant consisting of an underground corm and trunk comprised of concentric layers of leaf sheaths. At 10 to 15 months after the emergence of a new plant, its true stem rapidly grows up through the center and emerges as a terminal inflorescence which bears fruit. In India cutting of banana tree is done by tractor and decomposition method. This method is followed by farmers in wide range. The cutting of banana tree takes some time for stem to completely decompose.\r\n\r\nDue to increase in the price of raw materials such as fertilizer, pesticide, farming equipment, farmers wish to gain the cost effective methods for cultivating their banana tree. By utilizing this method, they will boost the economic growth and thus in turns add up to nation building. The cutting process is made simple and efficient one by inducing automation. The traditional method of cutting banana tree is expensive and required skilled labor. A feasible machine is required to make the process easy. By utilizing the engineering principles and automation techniques, this machine will make the thing easier and user friendly.\r\n\r\nAs discussed earlier, the conventional method of banana tree cutting is done by direct decomposition and rotary tractor method. This process is tedious one, the proposed machine aims at making the things simple and easy. The main motto is to introduce automation and make this process cost effective. The process involves cutting of banana tree into pieces. The entire setup is mounted on the mechanical base with moving tire arrangement. Many farmers feel difficult to spend time and money. Thus, by making the machine that operates user friendly invokes many farmers to feel happy. The major human operation in the process is just to switch on the electrical power and by driving the machine by hand.\r\n\r\n2D LAYOUT OF AUTOMATIC PLANTER VEHICLE:\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nDesign And Fabrication of Automatic Planter Machine For Agricultural Application\u00a0\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nWORKING PRINCIPLE:\r\n\r\n\r\nThe working prototype consists of planter pipe which is translated linearly by means of pneumatic cylinder arrangement. The planter pipe consists of two lids which controls the intake and ejection of crops, in which one is placed at the top most corner of the pipe and another one is installed at the bottom most corner. The opening and closing of lid is controlled by rope and pulley attachments, when the planter pipe moves up at that time upper lid gets open and when its moves down the lower lid is opened. The loading of crops to be planted is done at the planter separate wheel which is powered by means of dc motor when the holes of the planter separator wheel had come to the position to coincide with the planter pipe the crop loaded is planted. Fig. briefly depicts the USM process.\r\n\r\n\r\nPrinciple Of Ultrasonic Machining :\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nUltrasonic Machining\u00a0\r\n\r\nIn ultrasonic machining, a tool of desired shape vibrates at an ultrasonic frequency (19 ~ 25 kHz) with an amplitude of around 15 \u2013 50 \u03bcm over the workpiece. Generally the tool is pressed downward with a feed force, F. Between the tool and workpiece, the machining zone is flooded with hard abrasive particles generally in the form of a water based slurry. As the tool vibrates over the workpiece, the abrasive particles act as the indenters and indent both the work material and the tool. The abrasive particles, as they indent, the work material, would remove the same, particularly if the work material is brittle, due to crack initiation, propagation and brittle fracture of the material. These purposes include transferring rotational motion into linear motion, magnifying input loads (due to the mechanical advantage that a toggle mechanism affords), and locking the position of a linkage. In all of these applications, the links within a toggle mechanism experience a great deal of stress, especially when used to lock the position of a linkage.\r\n\r\nAs the toggle mechanism passes through the toggle position, each of the links are compressed creating a large amount of force within the linkage. This mechanism consists of two links, a slide, a stop, and three connecting pins. The two links are able to rotate about their connecting pins and the slide allows translational movement During this evaluation, the pin is pushed vertically downward forcing the other two links to rotate about their endpoints and the slide to translate towards the right.\r\nWhen the pin is pushed a sufficient distance, such that the adjacent links are aligned, the mechanism is said to be at its \u201ctoggle\u201d point.
