It can contain any combination of approximate (faceted) data, boundary representation surfaces (NURBS), Product and Manufacturing Information (PMI), and Metadata (textual attributes) either exported from the native CAD system or inserted by a product data management (PDM) system.\r\n\r\nJT files are used in product lifecycle management (PLM) software programs and their respective CAD solutions, by engineers and other professionals that need to analyze the geometry of complex products. The format and associated software is structured so that extremely large numbers of components can be quickly loaded, shaded and manipulated in real-time. Because all major 3D CAD formats are supported, a JT assembly can contain a mixture of any combination which has led to the term \"multi-CAD\". Zero degree turning radius of a vehicle implies the vehicle rotating about an axis passing through the center of gravity of vehicle i.e. the vehicle turning at the same place, where it is standing. No extra space is required to turn the vehicle. So vehicle is to be turned in the space equal to the length of the vehicle itself. In this system, steering is connected to sprocket and this sprocket is connected to sprocket of front wheel by chain drive. Steering is used to provide the direction of front wheel. The DC motor is connected to sprocket bolt at above of frame. When power supply from battery to DC motor then rotary motion transfer from DC motor to the wheel. The bearings are provide below sprocket which allow to wheel rotate 360 degreeabout vertical axis. Then this same rotary motion is transfer to the rear wheels by sprockets and chain drive arrangement. So as a result this arrangement of the vehicle wheels to turn 90 degrees left and 90 degree right from original position, but front wheels of this vehicle rotate 360 degree by steering, sprocket and chain drive arrangement. Without moving from the spot, i.e. the vehicle has zero turning radius. This helps in maneuvering the vehicle in tight spaces such as parking lots and within small compounds.The various functions of the steering wheel are to control the angular motion the wheels, direction of motion of the vehicle, to provide directional stability of the vehicle while going straight ahead, to facilitate straight ahead condition of the vehicle after completing a turn, the road irregularities must be damped to the maximum possible extent. First, the kinematic dimensions that affect the time ratio are found by investigating the\r\ngeometry of the proposed design. By transforming into its kinematically equivalent mechanism, and then the design equations of time ratio are derived. Furthermore, a design example is given for illustration. Moreover, the design is validated by kinematic simulation using\r\nADAMS software. Finally, a prototype and an experimental setup are established, and the experiment is conducted. The results show that proposed new mechanism is feasible and with reasonable accuracy. In addition, it is more compact and easier to be balanced\r\ndynamically than a conventional quick return linkage.\r\nQuick-return (QR) mechanisms feature different input durations for their working and return strokes. The time ratio (TR) of a QR mechanism is the ratio of the change in input displacement during the working stroke to its change during the return stroke. Several basic types of mechanism have a QR action. These types include slider-crank and four-bar mechanisms. A project on QR mechanism design, within a first course on the theory of mechanisms, has been found to be effective for exposing students to concepts of mechanism design and analysis.\r\nThis paper reviews basic QR mechanisms, presents a project problem and solution examples, and discusses the value of inclusion of such project problems within theory-of-mechanism courses.\r\n\r\nIntroduction\r\nA quick return mechanism is a mechanism that converts rotary motion into reciprocating motion at different rate for its two strokes. When the time required for the working stroke is greater than that of the return stroke, it is a quick return mechanism. It yields a significant\r\nimprovement in machining productivity. Currently, it is widely used in machine tools, for instance, shaping\u00a0machines, power-driven saws, and other applications requiring a working stroke with intensive loading, and a return stroke with non-intensive loading. Several quick return mechanisms can be found in the literatures, including the offset crank-slider mechanism, the crank shaper mechanisms, the double crank mechanisms, and the Whitworth mechanism.\r\nAll of them are linkages. A linkage has its strengths and weaknesses. It is inexpensive to make and easy to lubricate; however, it is bulky and difficult to balance. In situations, if compact space is essential to the design, then a linkage may not be a good choice.\r\nTherefore, how to find a new alternative of quick return mechanisms is an open topic that deserves to be examined. These machines have played an important role in increasing the production rate and have been in use for long time. Initial settings have to be done very carefully, because the automatics have a fully automatic working cycle which is repeated automatically to produce duplicate parts without the participation of the operator.\r\n\r\nIn automatic machines, operations right from feeding of the stock to clamping, machining and even inspection of the work piece are carried out automatically. A particular sequence is followed depending upon the requirements of the work piece and is achieved by using cams, stops, settings, trip dogs and other mechanical movements of the machine.\r\n\r\nAll that the operator has to do during the operation is to inspect a few pieces after regular interval and plot the readings in order to study the trend of the dimensions and thereby determining the setting of the machine.\u00a0He has also to renew the bar stock when it is exhausted or is to be replaced. In semi-automatic machines the movements are controlled automatically but the work has to be loaded into and removed from the chuck at the beginning and end of each cycle of operation.\r\nMethods of Automatic Machines:\r\nThe various methods used for achieving partial or complete automatic working of the machine are described below:\r\n\r\n(i) The suitable feeding arrangements like feed hoppers, strip feed rolls etc. could be employed on the orthodox machines to make them partially automatic in respect of material handling.\r\n\r\n(ii) The machines used for turning operation could be made automatic in the operation of feeding and turning movement by incorporation of cams and mechanical movements, the setting of which may be made for any one of a variety of components within the capacity of the machine.\r\n\r\nGenerally one set of settings (cams etc.) is designed to suit a given set of conditions for one particular work piece only and to change from one job to other necessitates changing of all the cams, the cost of which imposes a minimum run for which the setting would be more economical than employing a more standard machine.\r\n\r\n(iii) The third category of automatics includes machines designed specifically for operations on a particular component and generally used for drilling and profiling operations.\r\n\r\n(iv) The fourth category includes transfer machining system in which machines are made of a collection of machining units assembled and used in conjunction with some form of conveyor or indexing work table so that the work may be automatically moved through the sequence of operations concerned.\r\n\r\n(v) Uptil now, we have considered machines in which the actuation and control are based on mechanical movements. During recent years the concept of automatics has changed altogether due to introduction of the automatic feedback control circuits and the electronic computers.\r\n\r\nUnder the principle of feedback system the information from the element being controlled i.e. the tool or cutter is fed back electrically into the controlling system where it is compared with the set value and the tool is then accordingly moved and thus a continuous system of monitoring and corrections is used.\r\nClassification of Automatic Machines:\r\nAutomatics may be classified according to their size, specific nature of work, type of blank machined, processing capacity, machining accuracy, design features, principle of operations, and operations performed, etc. They could be horizontal or vertical type according to the position of the main spindle. These are also classified according to the number of spindles and work positions.\r\n\r\nThe automatics are broadly classified in two main categories:\r\n\r\n(i) Magazine Loaded Automatic Machines:\r\n\r\nThese are used to machine the work pieces in the form of blanks which have been properly machined to appropriate dimensions prior to feeding them to the automatics.\r\n\r\nThe introduction of any form of automatic feed to a machine results in economy as one operator can then attend to a number of machines instead of being confined to one.\r\n\r\n(ii) Automatic Bar Machines:\r\n\r\nThese are used for machining work pieces from bar or pipe stock.\r\n\r\nThese are further classified as:\r\n\r\n(a)\u00a0Single Spindle Machines:\r\n\r\n(1) Automatic cutting off machines\r\n\r\n(2) Swiss-Type automatic screw machines\r\n\r\n(3) Turret automatic screw machines.\r\n\r\n(b)\u00a0Multiple-Spindle Machines:\r\n\r\nSuitable for both bar and chuck work.\r\n\r\nGenerally single spindle automates which are the logical development of the capstan and turret lathes could also be considered as below from classification point of view:\r\n\r\n(i) Single spindle machines with movable head-stocks and fixed tools. (Also known as Swiss-type or sliding head machines).\r\n\r\n(ii) Single spindle machines with stationary head stock and movable tools. (Also known as automatic screw machine or turret type). The Swiss-type of machine employs the \u2018bush turning method\u2019. The bar stock is fed forward by a moving head stock against a stationary tool.\r\n\r\nDuring the process the bar stock is supported by a guide bush set close to the working edge of the cutting tools and thus the overhang is reduced to a minimum, and therefore, the work can be machined to very close limits.\r\n\r\nThis type of machine has the following four major parts:\r\n\r\n(i) The sliding headstock, through which the bar stock is passed and gripped by a collet.\r\n\r\n(ii) The tool bracket, supporting five tool slides, and guide bush for the bar stock.\r\n\r\n(iii) The cam shaft, controlling the synchronising bar stock, and cutting tool movements.\r\n\r\n(iv) Auxiliary attachments, for performing various operations such as drilling, tapping, screwing, screw slotting, etc.\r\n\r\nThe turret type of automatic machine has a turret with six stations. The turret is mounted on a horizontal axis at right angles to the spindle and by indexing it in clockwise direction, various tools can be presented consecutively in line with the machine spindle.\r\n\r\nIt is possible to use two or three cross-slides as well as independent swinging stops. Some special attachments are also used in order to reduce the production costs and to increase the production efficiency.\r\n\r\nIn multi-spindle automatics a number of bars of stock or components are machined simultaneously thereby increasing the production output of the machine. The number of spindles in the machine may be four, five, six or eight, but four spindle type is the one most commonly used.\r\n\r\nIn it, a separate spindle is provided for each operation and all the end tools, secured to a common horizontal turret, or end slide, work simultaneously. The spindles, carrying the stock bars, are indexed in order against each end tool station. Cross- slides, to which form tools are attached, are also fitted adjacent to each spindle.\r\n\r\nIn automatic machines, cams play the most important role and are employed to operate the various tool slides, turret and working features of automatic machines.
