The milling cutter rotates at high speed and it removes metal at a very fast rate with the help of multiple cutting edges. One or more number of cutters can be mounted simultaneously on the arbor of the milling machine. This is the reason that a milling machine finds a wide application in production work. Milling machine is used for machining flat surfaces, contoured surfaces, surfaces of revolution, external and internal threads, and helical surfaces of various cross-sections.

The milling machine is the main machining operations. In this process, workpiece is fed beside a turning cylindrical tool. The turning tool has of several cutting edges. The milling process is notable as of other machining operations on the foundation of direction between the tool axis with the feed direction, though, in other operations similar to drilling, turning, and so on. The tool is fed in a way parallel to the axis of rotation. Milling machines can also use for slotting, drilling, make a circular profile with gear cutting by having proper attachments.

The cutting tool used in milling operation is called milling cutter, which has of numerous edges call teeth. Machine tool to make the milling operations by produce necessary relative movement among workpiece and tool is call milling machine. It gives necessary relative motion under extremely controlled conditions.

Working Principle of Milling Machine

Milling is a metal removal process by means of using a rotating cutter having one or more cutting teeth as illustrated in figure Cutting action is carried out by feeding the workpiece against the rotating cutter. Thus, the spindle speed, the table feed, the depth of cut, and the rotating direction of the cutter become the main parameters of the process. Good results can only be achieved with well balanced
settings of these parameters.
In this work is rigidly clamped on the table of the machine while revolving multi teeth cutter mounted either on the spindle or on an arbor. The cutter revolves at high speed and the work is fed slowly past the cutter. The work can be fed vertical, longitudinal, or cross direction. As the work advances, the cutter teeth remove the metal from the work surface to produce the desired shape.

working principle of milling machine
Milling Method :
There are two distinct methods of milling classified as follows:

1. Up-milling or conventional milling
2. Down milling or climb milling.
Up-milling or conventional milling
In the up-milling or conventional milling, the metal is removed in the form of small chips by a cutter rotating against the direction of travel of the workpiece. In this type of milling, the chip thickness is minimum at the start of the cut and maximum at the end of the cut. As a result the cutting force also varies from zero to the maximum value per tooth movement of the milling cutter. The major disadvantages of the up-milling process are the tendency of cutting force to lift the work from the fixtures and poor surface finish obtained. But being a safer process, it is a commonly used method of milling.

up milling and down milling
Down-milling or climb milling
In this method, the metal is removed by a cutter rotating in the same direction of feed of the workpiece. Chip thickness is maximum at the start of the cut and minimum in the end. In this method, there is less friction involved and consequently less heat is generated on the contact surface of the cutter and workpiece. Climb milling can be used advantageously on many kinds of work to increase the number of pieces per sharpening and to produce a better finish. With climb milling, saws cut long thin slots more satisfactorily than with standard milling. Another advantage is that slightly lower power consumption is obtainable by climb milling since there is no need to drive the table against the cutter.

Parts of Milling Machines :

milling machine parts

Milling machine Cosists following parts :

1. Base

It is a foundation member and it carries the column at its one end. In some machines, the base is hollow and serves as a reservoir for cutting fluid.

2. Column

The column is the main supporting member mounted vertically on the base. It is box-shaped, heavily ribbed inside and houses all the driving mechanism for the spindle and table feed. The front vertical face of the column is accurately machined and is provided with a dovetail guideway for supporting the knee.

3. Knee

The knee is a rigid grey iron casting which slides up and down on the vertical ways of the column face. An elevating screw mounted on the base is used to adjust the height of the knee and it also supports the knee.

4. Saddle

The saddle is placed on the top of the knee and it slides on guideways set exactly at 90° to the column face. The top of the saddle provides guide-ways for the table.

5. Table

The table rests on ways on the saddle and travels longitudinally. A lead screw under the table engages a nut on the saddle to move the table horizontally by hand or power. In universal machines, the table may also be swiveled horizontally. For this purpose the table is mounted on a circular base. The top of the table is accurately finished and T -slots are provided for clamping the work and other fixtures on it

6. Overhanging arm

It is mounted on the top of the column, which extends beyond the column face and serves as a bearing support for the other end of the arbor.

7. Front brace

It is an extra support, which is fitted between the knee and the over-arm to ensure further rigidity to the arbor and the knee.

8. Spindle

It is situated in the upper part of the column and receives power from the motor through belts, gears, and clutches and transmit it to the arbor.

9. Arbor

It is like an extension of the machine spindle on which milling cutters are securely mounted and rotated. The arbors are made with taper shanks for proper alignment with the machine spindles having taper holes at their nose.

The arbor assembly consists of the following components.
1. Arbor
2. Spindle
3. Spacing collars
4. Bearing bush
5. Cutter
6. Draw bolt
7. Locknut
8. Key block
9. Set screw

Classification Of Milling Machine: Types Of Milling Machine
The four most common types of manually controlled milling machines are listed below in order of increasing power (and therefore metal removal capability):

1. Column and knee type milling machines

Used for general purpose milling operations, column and knee type milling machines are the most common milling machines. The spindle to which the milling cutter is maybe

(a) Hand milling machine
(b) Horizontal milling machine
(c) Universal milling machine
(d) Vertical milling machine

2. Planer milling machine

Planer machines are similar to bed type machines but are equipped with several cutters and heads to mill various surfaces.

3. Fixed-bed type milling machine

In bed type machines, the worktable is mounted directly on the bed, which replaces the knee, and can move only longitudinally. These machines have high stiffness and are used for high production work.

(a) Simplex milling machine.
(b) Duplex milling machine.
(c) Triplex milling machine.

4. Machining center machines

Various milling machine components are being replaced rapidly with computer numerical control (CNC) machines. These machine tools are versatile and are capable of milling, drilling, boring, and tapping with repetitive accuracy.

5. Special types of milling machines
(a) Rotary table milling machine.

Rotary table machines are similar to vertical milling machines and are equipped with one or more heads to do face milling operations.
(b) Planetary milling machine.
(c) Profiling machine.
(d) Duplicating machine.
(e) Pantograph milling machine.
(f) Continuous milling machine.
(g) Drum milling machine
(h) Profiling and tracer controlled milling machine

Tracer controlled machines reproduce parts from a master model. They are used in the automotive and aerospace industries for machining complex parts and dies.

Milling machines whose motions are electronically controlled are listed in order of increasing production capacity and decreasing flexibility:

1. Manual data input milling machines
2. Programmable CNC milling machines
3. Machining centers (tool changer and pallet exchange capability)
4. Flexible Manufacturing Cell and Flexible Manufacturing System
5. Transfer lines

Column and Knee type milling machine:
Milling Parts: Function of Milling Machine Parts

1. Base: It is a heavy casting on which column and other parts are mounted. It may be bolted to the floor strongly.
2. Column: there are guideways on the front face of the column, on which the knee slides. It houses power transmission units such as gears, belt drives and pulleys to give rotary motion to the arbor. The drive mechanisms are also used to give automatic feed to the handle and table.
3. Knee: It supports the saddle, table, workpiece, and other clamping devices. It moves on the guideways of column. It resists the deflection caused by the cutting forces on the workpiece.
4. Saddle: It is mounted on the knee and can be moved by hand wheel or by power. The direction of travel of the saddle is restricted towards or away from the column face.
5. Table: It is mounted on the saddle and can be moved by a hand wheel or by power. Its top surface is machined accurately to hold the workpiece and other holding devices. It moves perpendicular to the direction of the saddle movement.
6. Arbor: Its one end is attached to the column and the other end is supported by an overarm. It holds and drives different types of milling cutters.
7. For example if we want to make a hexagonal bolt. The Head of the bolt is given hexagonal shape. We do indexing to divide circular workpiece into six equal parts and then all the six parts are milled to an identical flat surface. If we want to cut ‘n‟ number of teeth in a gear blank. The circumference of gear blank is divided into ‘n‟ number of equal parts and teeth are made by milling operation one by one. The main component used in indexing operation is the universal dividing head.

Function Of Indexing Head :

The function of dividing head is to divide the periphery of a workpiece into any number of equal parts( Indexing). To provides a continuous rotary motion to the job during the helical milling. To set the workpiece in a desired position concerning the machine table. Acts both as a holding as well as supporting devices for the work during the operation.

Indexing methods

There are different indexing methods. These are:
1. Direct indexing
2. Simple indexing
3. Compound indexing
4. Differential indexing

Plain Indexing: -
In plain indexing the dividing head spindle is moved by turning the index crank. As the shaft carrying the crank has a single-threaded worm that meshes with the worm gear having 40 teeth, 40 turns of the crank are necessary to rotate the index head spindle though one revolution. To facilitate indexing to fractions of a turn, index plates are used to cover practically all numbers. Index plates with
circles of holes are as follows:-
Plate No. 1 – 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20
Plates No. 2 – 21, 23, 27, 29, 31, 33.
Plate No. 3 – 37, 39, 41, 43, 47, 49.

With the three index plate supplied, simple indexing can be used for all divisions up to 50, even numbers up to 100 except 96. The formula for index crank movement is given below:-
Index Crank Movement = 40/ N where, N= number of divisions required.

universal dividing head

Specification Of Milling:
Along with the type of milling machine, it has to be specified with its size. Commonly size of a typical milling machine is selected as given below:

1. Size of worktable with its movement range table length x table width like 900 x 275 mm.
Table movements: Longitudinal travel x Cross x Vertical like 600 x 200 x 400 mm.
Over travels point to maximum movement in a direction.
2. Maximum longitudinal movement and cross feed of the table.
3. Number of feeds presented (give their values).
4. Number of spindle speeds (give their values).
5. The maximum distance the knee can travel.
6. Power of the main drive motor.
7. Number of spindle speeds.
8. Floor space necessary.
9. Total power existing.
10. Spindle nose taper.
11. Net weight.
Cutting Parameters in Milling:
a) Cutting speed:

The cutting speed of a milling cutter is its peripheral linear speed resulting from rotation. It is expressed in meters per minute and is given by formulas
= π d n / 1000 m/min

where d is the diameter of the cutter in mm & n is cutter r.p.m.

b) Feed:

It is defined by the distance the work advances under the cutter. Feed is expressed by – feed per tooth, feed per cutter revolution, and feed per minute. They are related with each other by a formula-

Sm = n * Sr = Z * n * Sz

where Z is no. of teeth, n is r.p.m.

Sz – Feed per tooth in mm

1) Feed per tooth ( Sz):- The feed per tooth is defined by the distance the work advances in the time between engagement by the two successive teeth. It is expressed in mm/tooth of the cutter.

2) Feed per revolution (Srev):- The feed per cutter revolution is the distance the work advances in the time when the cutter turns through one complete revolution.

3) Feed per minute ( Sm):- The feed per minute is defined by the distance the work advances in one minute. It expressed in mm/min

c) Depth of cut:

It is the thickness of the material removed in one pass of the work under the cutter. It is the peripheral distance measured between the original distance and the final surface of the workpiece. It is expressed in mm

Calculation of Machining Time:

The time required to mill a surface for any operation can be calculated from the formula-
T= L / ( Sz*Z*n )
where T - time required to complete the cut in minutes.
L – Length of table travel to complete the cut in mm
Sz – Feed per tooth in mm
Z – No. of teeth in the cutter and n – the r.p.m. of the cutter

Along with the type of milling machine, it has to be specified with its size. Table top small sensitive drilling machine

These small capacity (Equal Or More Than 0.5 kW) upright (vertical) single spindle drilling machines are mounted (bolted) on rigid table and manually operated using usually small size (φ More than 10 mm) drills. Fig. typically shows one such machine.

Table top small sensitive drilling machine
2. Pillar drilling machine

These drilling machines, usually called pillar drills, are quite similar to the table top drilling machines but of little larger size and higher capacity (0.55 - 1.1 kW) and are grouted on the floor (foundation). Here also, the drill-feed and the work table movement are done manually. Fig. typically shows a pillar drill. These low cost drilling machines have tall tubular columns and are generally used for small jobs and light drilling.

Pillar drilling machine

3. Column drilling machine

These box shaped column type drilling machines as shown in Fig. are much more strong, rigid and powerful than the pillar drills. In column drills the feed gear box enables automatic and power feed of the rotating drill at different feed rates as desired. Blanks of various size and shape are rigidly clamped on the bed or table or in the vice fitted on that. Such drilling machines are most widely used and over wide range ( light to heavy) work.

Column drilling machine

4. Radial drilling machine

This usually large drilling machine possesses a radial arm which along with the drilling head can swing and move vertically up and down as can be seen in Fig.. The radial, vertical and swing movement of the drilling head enables locating the drill spindle at any point within a very large space required by large and odd shaped jobs. There are some more versatile radial drilling machines where the drill spindle can be additionally swivelled and / or tilted.

Radial Drilling Machine
5. CNC column drilling machine

In these versatile and flexibly automatic drilling machine having box column type rigid structure the work table movements and spindle rotation are programmed and accomplished by Computer Numerical Control (CNC). These modern sophisticated drilling machines are suitable for piece or batch production of precision jobs.

(b) General purpose drilling machines with more specific use.

1. Hand drills

Unlike the grouted stationary drilling machines, the hand drill is a portable drilling device which is mostly held in hand and used at the locations where holes have to be drilled as shown in Fig. The small and reasonably light hand drills are run by a high speed electric motor. In fire hazardous areas the drill is often rotated by compressed air.

Hand Drill

2. Gang drilling machine

In this almost single purpose and more productive machine a number (2 to 6) of spindles with drills (of same or different size) in a row are made to produce number of holes progressively or simultaneously through the jig. Fig. schematically shows a typical gang drilling machine.

Schematic view of a gang drilling machine

3. Turret (type) drilling machine

Turret drilling machines are structurally rigid column type but are more productive like gang drill by having a pentagon or hexagon turret as shown in Fig. The turret bearing a number of drills and similar tools is indexed and moved up and down to perform quickly the desired series of operations progressively. These drilling machines are available with varying degree of automation both fixed and flexible type.

Schematic view of turret type drilling machine

4. Micro (or mini) drilling machine

This type of tiny drilling machine of height within around 200 mm is placed or clamped on a table, as shown in Fig. and operated manually for drilling small holes of around 1 to 3 mm diameter in small workpieces.

Photographic view of a micro (or mini) drilling machine

5. Deep hole drilling machine

Very deep holes of L/D ratio 6 to even 30, required for rifle barrels, long spindles, oil holes in shafts, bearings, connecting rods etc, are very difficult to make for slenderness of the drills and difficulties in cutting fluid application and chip removal. Such drilling cannot be done in ordinary drilling machines and b ordinary drills.
It needs machines like deep hole drilling machine such as gun drilling machines with horizontal axis which are provided with

  high spindle speed
  high rigidity
  tool guide
Pressurised cutting oil for effective cooling, chip removal and
lubrication at the drill tip.

Deep hole drilling machines are available with both hard automation and CNC system.
Classification/Types Of Drilling Machine use In Mechanical Workshop
@type":"Person
{"@type":"ImageObject
{"@context":"http://schema.org/","@type":"Organization
Learn Mechanical Engineering
@type":"ImageObject

link to Introduction To Biomass Gasification and Types Of Gasifier

Introduction To Biomass Gasification and Types Of Gasifier

Introduction To Biomass Gasification and Types Of Gasifier Biomass gasification

This mixture is called producer gas.

Producer gas can be used to run internal combustion engines (both compression and spark ignition), can be used as substitute for furnace oil in direct heat applications and can be used to produce, in an economically viable way.

Wood wastes can be used in fuel boiler but the equipment is expensive and energy recovery is low. As a result it is often advantageous to convert this waste into more readily usable fuel from like producer gas. The price of petroleum fuels is high or where supplies are unreliable the biomass gasification can provide an economically viable system – provided the suitable biomass feedstock is easily available. During both world wars and particularly World War II, shortage in petroleum supplies led to widespread introduction of gasification.

The production of generator gas (producer gas) called gasification, is partial combustion of solid fuel (biomass) and takes place at temperatures of about 10000C. The reactor is called a gasifier. The combustion products from complete combustion of biomass generally contain nitrogen, water vapor, carbon dioxide and surplus of oxygen. However in gasification where there is a surplus of solid fuel (incomplete combustion) the products of combustion are combustible gases like Carbon monoxide (CO), Hydrogen (H2) and traces of Methane and non useful products like tar and dust. The key to gasifier design is to create conditions such that a) biomass is reduced to charcoal and, b) charcoal is converted at suitable temperature to produce CO and H2.
Types of gasifier
Since there is an interaction of air or oxygen and biomass in the gasifier, they are classified according to the way air or oxygen is introduced in it.

There are three types of gasifiers Downdraft, Updraft and Crossdraft.

Types Of Gasifiers

The choice of one type of gasifier over other is dictated by the fuel, its final available form, its size, moisture content and ash content. therefore, the advantages and disadvantages generally found for various classes of gasifiers.

Comparison Of Various Types of Gasifires:

1) Updraft Gasifiers:

Advantages: Small pressure drop, Good thermal efficienty, Little tendency towards slag formation.
Disadvantages: Great sensitivity to tar and moisture and moisture content of fuel, Relatively long time required for start up of IC engine, Poor reaction capability with heavy gas load.

2) Downdraft Gasifiers:

Advantages: Flexible adaptation of gas production to load, Low sensitivity to charcoal dust and tar content of fuel.
Disadvantages: Design tends to be tall, Not feasible for very small particle size of fuel.

3) CrossDraft Gasifiers:

Advantages: Short design height, Very fast responce time to load, Flexible gas production.
Disadvantages: Very high sensitivity to slag formation, High Pressure Drop.

Applications of producer gas:

The combustible gases from the gasifier can be used

a) in internal combustion engines,
b) for direct heat applications and
c) as feedstock for production of chemicals like methanol.
However in order for the gas to be used for any of the above applications it should be cleaned of tar and dust and be cooled.

More Resources /articles

RAC / HVAC - Articles , Notes , Que and Answers
Thermal Engineering - Articles , Notes , Interview Q & A
Mechanical Subjectwise Basic Concept Notes ,Articles
Introduction To Biomass Gasification and Types Of Gasifier
@type":"Person
{"@type":"ImageObject
{"@context":"http://schema.org/","@type":"Organization
Learn Mechanical Engineering
@type":"ImageObject

link to Introduction To ERP [Enterprise Resource Planning]

Introduction To ERP [Enterprise Resource Planning]

Introduction To ERP [Enterprise Resource Planning]

The aim of this project work is to acquire practical knowledge in the field of material handling equipment. The project work is concerned with the fabrication of the portable jib crane. This machine is very useful for lifting and transporting heavy jobs upto two tons for all types of jobs such as automobile repairs and service shops of central workshops, production industries, material handling units etc.
INTRODUCTION
The very essence of our economic life and growth is dependent in a great part upon the continued improvement and development of the electronic and mechanical fields. To aid these fields, we have PNEUMATIC MOBILE CRANE, Mechanical type, which can be widely used to lift the products like less weight or heavy weigh blocks, machines, workpieces and etc. Extreme care should be taken while lifting the load in the jib crane layout. The movable (or) mobile type jib Crane is used to lift any same or identical workpieces with mechanical arrangement in easy way.
ADVANTAGES
Its advantage over conventional systems are listed below
1. Compact:
-Because of high speed and pressure capabilities they have a very small weight to power output ratio.
2. Predictable performance:
-Losses are minimum due to less number of moving parts and so gives expected performance.
3. Noise vibration control:
-Due to elegant and simple control systems, it does silent operation and no vibration is produced.
4. Longer life
5. Flexibility
6. Efficient and dependable.
7. Simple installation.
8. Easy maintenance.

LIMITATIONS

1. The life of the parts, like seals, packing and gaskets etc., are very short. But they are
essential to prevent leakage.
2. Cost of this system becomes costlier.

PROJECT PLANNING

Before starting any project, its planning is done; planning is a very important task and should be taken up with great care, as the efficiency of the whole project depends largely upon the planning. While planning the project each and every detail should be worked out in anticipation and all the relative provisions should be carefully considered in advance. Project planning consists of the following steps.
PROJECT CAPACITY
The capacity of the project work must be decided considering the amount of money to be invested and the availability of materials and machines.
DESIGN AND DRAWING
Diagram Of Fabrication Of Pneumatic Mobile Crane

Having been decided about the project to be manufactured, it must be designed. The work of the design should be done very carefully considering all the relevant factors. After designing the project, its detailed drawings are prepared so that no doubts are left for future. Detailed specifications of the raw materials and finished products should be decided carefully along with the specifications of the machine required for their manufacture. This project work is designed by considering all the particle difficulties while fabricating, in advance.
MATERIALS REQUIREMENT

The list of the material requirement is prepared from the drawings. “This list is known as the “BILL OF MATERIALS”. This can be passed to the storekeeper and the required materials are taken from the store under permission of the storekeeper.
OPERATION PLANNING

Next work of planning is to select the best method of manufacture, so that wastage of raw material, idle time of the man and machinery and total manufacture time are restricted. Machine tools required to do the jobs are considered, while planning the operation. After considering the above questions, best method is developed and applied.

More Resources /articles
Pneumatic or Air operated projects
Product Ideas , Innovative Machine Ideas Projects
Best Low Cost Mechanical Projects
New Mechanical Projects 2020 ( All Projects Post Index List )

Fabrication Of Pneumatic Mobile Crane Mechanical Project
@type":"Person
{"@type":"ImageObject
{"@context":"http://schema.org/","@type":"Organization
Learn Mechanical Engineering
@type":"ImageObject

link to Design and Fabrication Of Tension less Bike Full Report Download

Design and Fabrication Of Tension less Bike Full Report Download

Design and Fabrication Of Tension less Bike Full Report Download

But normally two wheeler are used most of the people which is economical. Motorcycles are one of the most affordable forms of motorized transport in many parts of the world and, for most of the world's population; they are also the most common type of motor vehicle. There are around 200 million motorcycles (including mopeds, motor scooters and other powered two and three-wheeler) in use worldwide, or about 33 motorcycles per 1000 people. While people choose to ride motorcycles for various reasons, those reasons are increasingly practical, with riders opting for a powered two-wheeler as a cost-efficient alternative to infrequent and expensive public transport systems, or as a means of avoiding or reducing the effects of urban congestion. In places where it is permitted, lane splitting, also known as filtering, allows motorcycles to use the space between vehicles to move through stationary or slow traffic. In this motorcycle, major accidents occur due to the carelessness. Some of them forgot to take the side stand and they start driving with that side stand. This leads to an accident. Sometimes if we are going to a long drive there is a chance of air leakage in our bikes or our bike may get puncher. In that time there is no puncher shop nearby us. So we get into trouble.

INTRODUCTION
While people choose to ride motorcycles for various reasons, those reasons are increasingly practical, with riders opting for a powered two-wheeler as a cost-efficient alternative to infrequent and expensive public transport systems, or as a means of avoiding or reducing the effects of urban congestion. In places where it is permitted, lane splitting, also known as filtering, allows motorcycles to use the space between vehicles to move through stationary or slow traffic.

In this motorcycle, major accidents occur due to the carelessness. Some of them forgot to take the side stand and they start driving drive there is a chance of air leakage in our bikes. In that time there is no puncher shop with that side stand. This leads to an accident. Sometimes if we are going to a long nearby us. So we get into trouble.
Many engineers found out solutions for reduce the tension of bike. But it will not so much effective than our discovery.

Our aim is to reduce the tension of one who is driving the vehicle. Because some of the carelessness leads to a death. So every time we always aware of that. So our mini project helps a little bit to reduce those kind of incidents. Our objective is to inflate the tyre in some emergency conditions where there is no helping hands. This method is one of the easiest methods and also the cheapest methods

Our mini project consists of two things:

1. Side Stand Indicator Modulation
2. A Compressor Of Less Weight

These two things are most important for all the bikes. All the bike riders knew how important these two things are. We are doing some of the alterations in the bike to make a successful of these two.

COMPRESSOR IN BIKE:
Puncher in is commonly occurring thing bike. Nowadays most of Motorbike Company introduces the tubeless tyres. It decreases the air slowly if the wheel gets punched has been occurred. Anyway this will also need air to move some distance.

Design and Fabrication Of Tension less Bike - TYRE INFLATION

In the same way in the normal tube present in the tyres also . But in this normal tube using tyres the air will leaking out very rapidly than compare to tubeless tyres .

HOW TO INFLATE:

In this we made small modifications in our bike engine and additionally a TVS 50 engine is attached with that. Then we used this engine as a compressor by removing all fins of the engine and some modifications.

First of all let see that what is an engine and details about two stroke engine….

OUR MODIFICATION IN THIS ENGINE:

We cut the fins of the engine by using different mechanical methods. Because we are using this engine as a compressor only. So there is no chance of producing heat. For that it will be ignored. And also to reduce the weight of the engine we also cut the other unwanted things. There are many methods to remove the fins; we use a milling machine to remove the fins which is simple than other mechanical methods.

See Project on Tyre Inflation:
1) TYRE INFLATION & DEFLATION SYSTEM FOR FOUR WHEELER
2) Design and Fabrication of Automatic Tyre Inflation System
3) Seminar On Self inflating tyres -PPT and Report Download

SIDE STAND:
The side stand is the one of the most nice founded thing of our senior engineer and attached to bike instead of the centre stand most of the times people use only side stand in their bike because it easy to use compare to centre stand.

Side Stand Mechanism-Circuit Diagram

OUR SOLUTION REGARDING THIS PROBLEM:
Our solution is based on the principle of the key and lock present in bike i.e. when the side stand is been used the bike cannot be started until the side stand is taken. Then if we take the side stand and use the starter to start the bike then it will start this is the new method of us found apart the existing one.

OUR MECHANISM IN THIS SOLUTION:
We have added a additional circuit to the existing circuit. We have taken a wire or looped a wire from the ignition system and connect it to a plate. In the mean while the other wire is looped from earth or from ground and it is connected to the other plate. Now these wire are been kept in the side stand switch.

ADVANTAGES:
• For the side stand we provide a manual setup.
• If the battery becomes the chargeless battery sensors will not produce the beep sound properly, but our set up will not like this.
• If we are in helpless to inflate the tyre our setup will helps a lot.
• It can also be done by a person having basic knowledge of automobiles.
• Cost is less.
• Less maintenance required.

CONCLUSION:
The primary goal of this mini project is to find out some useful things which makes us feel less tension while we driving a two wheeler. Thus we find out the things which makes useful for many people. In this busy world we have a lots of work to do. In this busy schedule, it will happened to forgot small things. So we hope that our project helps a little bit to the people. Our future aim is to fit these compressor inside the engine guard. Some of the bikes like Yamaha, fazer and most of the sports bike have this engine guard. If we will fit this compressor in this engine means it will helps a lot.

Download:

Design and Fabrication Of Tension Less Bike Full Report Download DOC PPT

More Resources /articles
Project Sample report , Final report Download
Automobile Engineering Projects List - Abstract , Report
New Mechanical Projects 2020 ( All Projects Post Index List )
Design and Fabrication Of Tension less Bike Full Report Download
@type":"Person
{"@type":"ImageObject
//www.gunkrazy.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/designandfabricationOftensionlessBikepart2.png-225x300.jpg
{"@context":"http://schema.org/","@type":"Organization
Learn Mechanical Engineering
@type":"ImageObject

« PREV Page 1 … Page 285 Page 286 Page 287 Page 288 Page 289 … Page 338 NEXT »

About Us

LearnMech.Com is a Mechanical Project-oriented platform run by Sachin Thorat who is a B-Tech Graduate in Mechanical Engineering.
