ASS (active safety systems) are being researched and developed to prevent accidents and target mitigation. Among many useful active safety systems, it has been reported that AEBS (Advanced Emergency Braking Systems) effectively prevents accidents and reduces casualties simultaneously. The project aims to distinguish between systems currently in production like traction control (TC), electronic brake force distribution (EBD), brake assist (BA) and electronic stability control (ESC) functions and future systems that are currently in development. The project aims to develop a prototype system that offers a collision functionality in production vehicle, a system which can operate automatically with the help of high profile sensors based relay circuit and some modification in traditional braking system that can alert the driver in front collision and apply the brake automatically in emergency or critical situation.\r\n\r\nIntroduction\r\n\r\nDriving is a compulsory activity for most people. People use their car to move from one place to other place. The number of vehicles is increasing day by day. Nowadays, accidents are increasing and are uncertain. Accident will occur every time and everywhere and cause worst damage, serious injury and even death. These accidents are mostly caused by delay of the driver to hit the brake. This project is designed to develop a new system that can solve this problem where drivers may not brake manually but the vehicles can stop automatically by detecting obstacles. This project is about a system that can control braking system for safety. Using ultrasonic as a ranging sensor, its function based on ultrasonic wave. After transmitting by transmitter, the wave can reflect when obstacle is detected and then received by receiver. The braking circuit\u2019s function is to slow down or stop the car automatically after receiving signal from the sensor.\r\n\r\nThe objectives of this project are\r\ni. To develop a safety car braking system using ultrasonic photoelectric retro reflective sensors.\r\nii. To design a vehicle with less human attention to the driving.\r\n\r\nScope of project is to develop an ultrasonic sensor to detect the obstacle and to process the output from the ultrasonic sensor and to drive the pneumatic cylinder as an actuator.\r\n\r\nWorking Principle\r\nThe system is consist of two photoelectric distance measurement sensors, kit of electronic control unit to give input and output of sensor, hydraulic circuit and single acting hydraulic cylinder . The sensor is having 15 volt supply and can measure hurdle upto 10m .The Brake Kit is going to be fabricate having redesign\u00a0 brake paddle with reduced mass. If we can reduced the Driving Interference of Braking and Give the Responsibility To Intelligence Sensor which will Take decision and initiate the Response To give Warning alarm First and if Distance of impact is Closing it will Apply brake Automatically and Stop the Vehicle in advanced.\r\n2. Such that Distraction Driving is a Major Contributor to Accident death, thus by implementing this System we can reduced the Close impact Potential Accident.\r\n3. By dragging the front seat at opposite direction to Impact and increase the Distance And Time Of Direct Impact the death can be minimized and safety of vehicle also can improved, and also it can add the new feature to the car which will attract the customer who prefer safety while traveling.\r\n4. The results of the simulations showed that by using an energy absorbing seating system, crash deceleration can be effectively attenuated and occupant injuries significantly reduced in comparison to conventional seating systems. In future, physical crash tests will still be required as the final certification method for approval of a particular crashworthy mechanical system. This Braking system is consists of IR transmitter and Receiver circuit, Control Unit, Pneumatic breaking system. The IR sensor is used to detect the obstacle. There is any obstacle in the path, the IR sensor senses the obstacle and giving the control signal to the breaking system. The pneumatic breaking system is used to break the system.\r\n\r\nINTRODUCTION\r\n\r\nWe have pleasure in introducing our new project \u201cAUTOMATIC REVERSE BRAKING SYSTEM\u201d, which is fully equipped by IR sensors circuit and Pneumatic breaking circuit. It is a genuine project which is fully equipped and designed for Automobile vehicles.\r\nThis forms an integral part of best quality. This product underwent strenuous test in our Automobile vehicles and it is good.\r\n\r\nThe \u201cPNEUMATIC BRAKING CIRCUIT\u201d can stop the vehicle within 2 to 3 seconds running at a speed of 50 KM. The Reverse breaking system is a fully automation project.\r\n\r\nSENSOR OPERATED INTELLIGENT BRAKING SYSTEM\r\nWORKING OPERATION\r\nThe IR TRANSMITTER circuit is to transmite the Infra-Red rays. If any obstacle is there in a path, the Infra-Red rays reflected. This reflected Infra-Red rays are received by the receiver circuit is called \u201cIR RECEIVER\u201d.\r\n\r\nThe IR receiver circuir receives the reflected IR rays and giving the control signal to the control circuit. The control circuit is used to activate the solenoid valve. If the solenoid valve is activated, the compressed air passes to the Double Acting Pneumatic Cylinder. The compressed air activate the pneumatic cylinder and moves the piston rod.\r\n\r\nIf the piston moves forward, then the breaking arrangement activated. The breaking arrangement is used to break the wheel gradually or suddenly due to the pistion movement. The breaking speed is varied by adjesting the valve is called \u201cFLOW CONTROL VALVE\u201d.\r\n\r\nIn our project, we have to apply this breaking arrangement in one wheel as a model. This concept further developed into reverse mechanism wherein the power now is used to rotate the motor accommodated on the treadmill then to rotate the belt provided, which further provide moving platform for the person who want to exercise his body to maintain in proper\r\nshape by the provision of some electrical supply directly from AC mains. But in this paper we will explain about a manual (leg-powered) treadmill which can only rotate when walker push the belt with his feet as while running or\r\nwalking on treadmill. But the addition is that there is an installation of AC motor to harness electrical power, whose moving parts are mechanically coupled or connected with the moving parts of the machine (rollers) which moves when belt of the treadmill is moving. When the rotor (moving part)\r\nof the AC motor starts moving or rotating it will produces emf across its output terminals. This generated emf can be used for charging of Battery or other purposes.\r\n\r\nDESCRIPTION OF TREADMILL COMPONENTS\r\n\r\nRoller\r\nRoller is used to rotate the belt and used to reduce friction while walking or running and reduce the effort of a person and to produce maximum power.\r\n\r\nBearing\r\nBearings are used to freely rotate rollers and to support the rollers to neglect friction. The bearings are pressed in rollers by means of punching press machine.\r\n\r\nBelt\r\nBelt is used in an assembly to build tension along the rollers to build friction among the extreme rollers and to provide moving mechanism for the treadmill and to actuate motion in the assembly for the rotation of the roller to transmit\r\npower to the AC motor to acquire desired current.\r\n\r\nGear\r\nA Gear-Pinion arrangement is used wherein the pinion is coupled to the motor by means of adapter bush with variable nut-bolt size adjuster and gear is welded on the front roller.\r\nThe power from gear is then transmitted from roller to pinion and from pinion to motor shaft.\r\n\r\nAC Motor\r\nAn AC motor is a device which is used as dynamo in the circuit arrangement for conversion of mechanical energy into electrical energy it is in direct couple with pinion by means of adapter bush to the AC motor.\r\n\r\nBridge Rectifier\r\nThe simple working of the complete electrical circuit is when we run or walk on the treadmill the AC generator converts mechanical energy into electrical energy that generated AC current is transferred to the Bridge rectifier\r\nwhere AC is converted to the Constant DC.\r\n\r\nBattery\r\nThe provision of battery is made to store the current during the rotation of the motor which can then be used for further domestic purposes like illumination, rotating small motors, etc.\r\n\r\nControl Panel Circuit &amp; Spring Switch\r\nTreadmill controller is designed for a wide variety of user preference, custom workouts with energy calculations based on individual weight, age, gender and target heart rate goal. The treadmill monitor display has the large bright display which shows Speed, Elapsed Time, Distance, Calories, Heart Rate and Target Heart Rate (user defined).\r\n\r\nWorking of Spring Switch\r\nA Spring switch is same as that of reed switch but instead of ferrous strip enclosed in a glass casing, there is spring and small metal plate enclosed in a small plastic box casing, associating the wire to be taken out as output from both of these elements by soldering this wire on spring and metal plate and is used as an electromagnetic switch which helps control the flow of electricity in a circuit through panel. Whenever the permanent magnet fastened on pulley\r\ncome close to the spring switch while rotating, the magnetic field due to the magnet causes spring to come towards the plate and complete the circuit and vice-versa i.e. switch\u00a0causes ON(1) and OFF(0) effect giving rise to some\r\ncommands embedded on circuit and showing the output on panel.\r\n\r\nWorking Principle\r\nThe same concept which is used in bicycle generator is used in treadmill generator for power generation in the form of electricity.
